Apps to Learn Spanish
- Duolingo. A great app/website for beginners and those who'd like to brush up their Spanish (and not only Spanish).
- Memrise. Good for learning lists of words and expressions.
- Assimil. Listen to conversations and then repeat them, helped by the text, the translation, the grammar notes and some exercises.

Lessons and Grammar Online
Online Translators
- Google Translate. Free, widely available.
- DeepL. Has a free and a paid version. Probably a tad better than Google Translate
- ChatGPT. Strictly speaking, it's not an online translator but an AI tool that can also translate. treat ChatGPT as if you're talking to a human. For example, you can say, "Hi mate, could you please translate this text for me: '.....'. The context is an email to my co-workers in Argentina, so please use Argentinian Spanish and make sure the translation uses the formal 'usted' and is appropriate for office conversation." After you receive your translation, you can ask for clarification or request changes. Just pretend you're talking to a helpful friend. It's also free to use and has apps for Android/iOS.
